Summer is Almost Here: Background Screening and Provisional Hires

Summer cannot come soon enough. With record snowfall in the Northeast and a cold winter on the East Coast, summer will not arrive a moment too soon.

Many high school and college students will be looking for summer employment and with recovery almost 100% many employers are seeking provisional hires. And summer employment can be a valuable experience for today’s youth.

In years past summer began on Memorial Day but to take advantage of overseas travelers the summer “season” often starts closer to Easter or Spring Break. National amusement parks such as Disneyland or Six Flags, and smaller regional parks begin to ramp up employment in late winter or early spring.

Further, hiring takes place at facilities related to amusement parks such as hotels, restaurants, and related.

Recently, Ocean City, New Jersey sponsored a job fair for summer employment.
