This dataset includes current and historical felony conviction records only. This data may include name, date of birth, charge, sentence, county, location, admission date, and release date, and additional information. This dataset is updated quarterly.

**Special Note: If no time was spent in a state correctional facility, no record will be found from this criminal search, even if the result was a felony conviction. This criminal search contains correctional data only!

Please Note: Due to State Law if “New York” is selected as the “State of Employment” on our order form then records of convictions more than seven years old will not be returned.

Alternative Non-Instant Comprehensive New York State Search:
For a more comprehensive search of New York please select the county search option on our order form under NY. Then select any county and it will search every county in NY. Records from New York Office of Court Administration (OCA).

The search results are public records relating to open/pending and convictions in criminal cases originating from County/Supreme, City, Town and Village courts of all 62 counties. Sealed records are not disclosed. Town & Village criminal disposition data is limited.

The New York All County Statewide report has the following limitations and restrictions:

• The report does not include Family, Civil, or Federal court case information.

• The NY Statewide CHRS Report is based on an ‘exact match’ of Name and DOB. Any ‘variation’ of the individual’s Name and DOB is not considered a match.

• The report is subject to non-disclosure of certain case dispositions due to NYS Office of Court Administration’s policies (e.g., Misdemeanor Redemption, non-criminal offense cases) or sealed records under NYS law.

• Town Court and Village Court disposition data is not available for the period May 1991 through 2002. As of May 2007, all Town and Village Courts report to OCA. Town and Village disposition data from 2002 through 2007 is limited.

• In accordance with the Youthful Offender Legislation CPL720.15(1), the NY Statewide CHRS report will not report pending criminal cases categorized as Youthful Offender Eligible.

• Criminal cases ‘Transferred’ or ‘Removed’ (CPL 725) to Family Court are not reported.

• Criminal disposition information which appears on the NYS CHRS Report is as complete and accurate as the ‘electronic data’ furnished to the NYS Office of Court Administration.

• The report does not include case dispositions for ‘non-criminal offenses’ (e.g., Violations, Infractions).

• The report does not include case dispositions for individuals whose only conviction was a single misdemeanor more than ten years prior to the date of request

New York Sex Offender Report Description:
This sex offender background report includes high-risk offenders. Results may show offender’s name, physical description, address, crime and crime location. This data is updated monthly. Any offender who was convicted, on probation, or on parole on or after January 21, 1996 must register. Level 1 and 2 offenders must register for 10 years, level 3 must register for life. Free National Sex Offender Check Included.

Most Wanted Report Search:
Comprised of several state agencies most wanted such as: Top Ten FBI Most Wanted, FBI Most Wanted Fugitives, US Marshals Most Wanted, US Marshals Major Cases, Alabama Department of Public Safety, Mississippi Department of Public Safety, Kansas Most Wanted, AFT Most Wanted, US DEA Wanted Fugitives, DTIC Fugitive Top List, US Secret Service Most Wanted, Americas Most Wanted, Connecticut Department of Public Safety and Texas Most Wanted. Data set is updated monthly.

New York County Criminal Description:
A New York County search covers the past 7 years and will return convictions or deferred judgments. Searches will cover the Supreme and County courts for Felony and Misdemeanor cases. Average turnaround time is 1-4 business days. Some county criminal background checks may take longer due to court procedures or if additional records need to be ordered.
